Manasi Chatpalliwar

Manasi Chatpalliwar is the Managing Partner of Utkarsh Associates. Her practice is focused on commercial disputes, arbitration and litigation, and spans domestic and international arbitration, investment treaty disputes, insolvency, regulatory matters and corporate advisory work.

Over the course of her practice, she has acted on complex disputes across a range of sectors, including infrastructure, banking and financial services, energy, automobiles, pharmaceuticals, construction and real estate. Her experience includes representing the Government of India in investment treaty arbitration proceedings, acting in emergency arbitration proceedings before the SIAC, and representing corporate clients in significant commercial and regulatory disputes before courts, arbitral tribunals and specialist forums. Her work has also involved advising businesses through difficult commercial and regulatory situations—from insolvency and market-exit issues to employment disputes, internal investigations and compliance. This breadth of experience allows her to approach disputes not simply as litigation to be conducted, but as problems that need to be understood in their wider commercial context.

Manasi holds an LL.M. in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution from the National University of Singapore, where she was awarded the Faculty Graduate Scholarship, and an LL.B. from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.
